KineMatik provides Collaborative eR&D (CeR&D) enterprise solutions, where well established principles of best practice in R&D management and research practice are better facilitated or e-enabled (e=electronic) through the use of Information Technology (IT). There is a fundamental need within the Life Sciences industry to integrate the problem selection process of R&D managers (project and portfolio management) with the problem solving process (Scientific Method) of their scientists and engineers to be more productive and cost effective with better communication tools. The acceleration of technological change itself had added new urgency to this problem, since the efficiency of all other systems relate to a company's capacity to energise a stream of new product and process innovation. The convergence of IT capability and new ideas of knowledge management (KM) offered new opportunities to solve the productivity problem by re-imaging the strategic and operational management of R&D. This approach evolved into the concept of CeR&D.

KineMatik provides a flexible, integrated system that works with legacy programs and infrastructure to provide customers with electronic notebooks, integration of other software tools and roll up to management to report costs, head count, progress on projects, as well as developing individual 'dash boards'.
